FROM FOOD TO FOOTWEAR, SERRAMONTE OFFERS NEW DINING AND SHOPPING OPTIONS
Elephant Bar Restaurant to Offer Adventure in Dining
DALY CITY, CA (September 14, 2005) – Daly City residents and Serramonte shoppers will soon have a new place to eat – the jungle. Set to open in November, The Elephant Bar Restaurant, with its tropical décor and elephant sized portions, will satisfy the appetites of the entire family with an 8,781 square foot restaurant including outdoor café style seating.
“With the growing number of families in the area it is important that we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the entire family,” said Serramonte Center General Manager Dick Bartlett. “The addition of the Elephant Bar Restaurant will satisfy not only the need for additional dining options at the center, but for a place for families to gather together. We are certain it will be a hit in our family-oriented community.”
When it opens its doors in November, The Elephant Bar Restaurant will help customers escape the ordinary restaurant with tantalizing culinary delights from Asia and the Tropics. Along with great food, The Elephant Bar Restaurant features exotic plants, animal printed walls and sculptured giraffes and elephants. Executive Chef Reinhard Dorfhuber has more than 30 years of culinary experience and has worked at some of the finest hotels and restaurants in Asia, Europe, Canada and the United States. With more than 30 locations, The Elephant Bar Restaurant has been taking its guests on a dining adventure since the 1980s.

Founded as an ice cream parlor in the Philippines in 1975, the dine-in fast-food restaurant has grown to more than 900 locations in the Philippines -- this will be its eleventh location in the United States.
